Slaughter Rule

I wrote this during an NBA play off game.  Seeing as how awful the NBA is right now, it's not a surprise this got rejected.

An unconquerable lead

This poem is the first in a 3-part series of rejected poems.  And in all honesty, they aren't that great.  But as the rejection letter said, all taste is subjective.

Purpose's Pleasures perpetually dodging

Clawing to escape the horrendously blasé

A Haiku About Summer

The sun's heavy heat
Sweating black clothe in white light

Teenagers

This is a haiku about teenagers.  I originally wrote it with the first and third line reversed.  But when I showed my cousin Tammi, she suggested switching the lines.  So this a haiku by Tammi and I about teenagers.

A misguided path
Young minds screaming to be old
Fickle, foolish things
